This essay made me think of William Morris's house, Red House, which has windows that look oddly placed from the outside, because they are designed to work with what's going on on the inside.

But of course the house is spectacularly beautiful from the outside, not despite that but because of it.

Nate, I enjoyed hearing you reminiscing over your trip to London.

That innate beauty makes me think of hiking the Appalachian -- and the awe-inspiring spots that are so incredible, I often thought there can be no other explanation than a grand designer for both their form and function.

And, then I drive home to my cookie cutter subdivision. 🤷🏻‍♂️
