Did you write this specifically targeted at me? 😆 In all realness though, thanks to you, I figured out what I wanted to say in my first post at 4am today. I wrote it out in a journal and will now move it onto Substack to publish…🤞🏼
I feel this too! Honestly, changing the background color is enough to help it add a bit of emotion and branding, without doing anything else.
It also helps me to think about as an art project, where you can update the font one month, then edit another setting a month later. You can make 12 updates over the course of a year without it stopping you from Doing The Work.

Yes! Avoid the lessons at all costs!
This is exactly how I did not start my writing habit.! Absolutely loved this piece. Gold.
So glad it resonated, and I hope you ultimately failed at all of these lessons 😂
yes, all of that. Well done. This is what I love about Substack. It's about shipping, not fonts, chat plugins, etc. Love these Nate. Bravo.
Thanks, Kelly. Substack is just too damn simple. (Which is its superpower)
RIP RIFR
It's wild looking back at that page and realizing how spot on the fundamentals were. In the moment, you're just like, "wtf?"
So spot on!
Love this. I am guilty of spending way too many hours playing around with my Substack theme settings. Such an easy way to procrastinate.
Thanks, Alicia!

Love that. Great suggestion. I like the background you have going here!
Simple reminders like this are fuel for me to get clear on what my next steps are. Thanks for this!
Glad it was helpful CJ!
I’m starting to see the cracks and can see myself failing.😂
